Yeah, I decided 2 big motors will do the job better than 4 small(er) motors.

Is 2 huge outrunners on an 8x8 truck not enough to satisfy you?

What's with all the steel braided hose? I had to take out your image link because it says this post was over the legal limit.

BL_RV0 10.19.2008 07:55 PM

Well what then?

I'm just messing with you man! I'm sure the two giant outrunners will give you an unquantifiable amount of power. :mdr:

BL_RV0 10.21.2008 09:14 AM

Hopefully. I'm getting my other MGT off of _paralyzed_ this week. Really looking forward to it!!

Update

This is a big one guys!
I decided to only go with 6x6. It seems like 8x8 would just add weight and make it even more of a cumbersome hulk. :bad:
Here's the motor I'm thinking of getting (to run on 8s):

3250w should push this beast! I decided I'll build a full roll cage and have al sheets protecting everything. Still deciding whether or not to do a flamethrower. This truck should be a iron pig, and based on the TSR 6x6 reviews it will be a great basher. I'm still debating if I should go with the TSR thru-diff case or attempt to build my own. I've got most of the stuff already, just order up the electronics, metal and whatever other parts I'll need and be on my way.

I got paralyzed's MGT yesterday. I immediately started disassembling it to clean it and replace broken parts. Needless to say, the nitro crap all over the truck was fun to get off, as you see a sort of shiny part under it. These pics aren't what you're hoping for, but they'll do until I have time to clean the whole truck, wait for my other one along with many, many parts (should be here today) and reassemble the truck. I found a bent shock shaft, 2 broken a-arms, a bent turnbuckle, and some broken titanium bumper support. I'll take the parts off of my spare axle I'm getting, and try and find a replacement for the bumper mount thing. It's usable as-is, but i don't like to have broken stuff on my truck. I'll get pics up in a sec.
