OMG! that is the worst tattoo I have EVER seen! I cant stop staring at it. Its like a head rolling down the street after a bad accident.....I want to look away....I just can't!:surprised:

wutsup guys ive been thinking lately of getting some type of tattoo. Im not too sure where id wanna get it or what id want to get but i just want to know if anyone here has tattoos or what do you all think of them?

i realize i am only 18 and may be making a mistake but i wont put it somewhere noticeable unless i want it to be. (calf or arm----these are the 2 places im thinking)

im sort of into skull tattoos. i think they look baddass.. it has no real meaning to me.

My only advice would be is to make sure you are going to get something good and long lasting. Don't get fad tats or you're going to look like a jerkoff in a few years.

Just think of the dopes that got "WORD TO YOUR MOTHER" tats back in the day

lol. And does the tat have a tat on it's back of itself? The taller than you part sounds tricky.

I thought (and still do) about getting one; an armband of my son's name, except each letter would be encoded as an 8 bit binary string forming the name. It would be curvy so it looks like some odd tribal thing from a distance. But I HATE needles! I can't even be in the same room when my son gets his shots. And when I need a shot, I have to really prepare.

I have 2 tattoos. One on my right bicep of a large dragon just because i really like dragons, no special meaning behind it. And the second is my son's name translated to korean on my inner left forearm. I do not regret either tattoos but i am also 31 years old and waited many years before actually getting either of them done. I guarantee if i had got most of tats that i wanted when i was your age i would definetly regret them now. I say wait till your 25-30 and if it still seems like a good idea then go for it.

Sounds like everyone advice is about the same: Wait until you're sure of what you want to get (not some arbitrary thing just because it's there), don't put it somewhere that is always visible (hand, neck, etc), and/or have it mean something...

Exactly, what he said. I placed my dragon high enough that my short sleeve shirt cover most if not all of it and my son's name is on the inner part of my forearm so that most people don't even know it's there unless i twist my arm and show them.

That is awesome. I sent that pic to my friends and they had no idea what it meant.

That would have got me locked up for life. How is that butcher still alive. You could have knee capped him al least. :whip: If you gat a tat be sure it is what you want. Check the artist out. DO NOT JUST GO BY THE PICS IN THE SHOP. They will be the ones he wants you to see. Try to find someone with a lot of good work walking around. If there is any local tattoo shows check them out. If you see someone with a nice tat ask where they got it. Trust me they will be cool about it. Most of us are proud of our ink! DO NOT ASK FOR A DEAL. You get what you pay for. Most good artists seem expensive. $80.00hr. is ballpark here. Do your homework, be sure it is what you want! Sorry for the rant.

t-maxxracer32 11.06.2008 09:42 PM

i think that if i got any type of tattoo i would go somewhere reputable. probably would go to a bigger town just so i could be sure they are good.

i am 18 for those of you who asked. i know im young and i may not get one RIGHT now, but im just now starting to think about it.

i appreciate all your help.

Me to! I dont want anything to do with them. I was raised the same way

t-maxxracer32 11.06.2008 10:33 PM

neither of my parents have any so i guess i was "raised" that way but i personally dont feel that you can be raised to not get a tattoo

you can be raised to think drugs are bad. you can be raised to not drink but tattoos? i dont think it is bad at all to get any.

although there are some tattoos that i would never get.

Likewise. Whatever you do t-maxx just make sure you're 110% sure you want it, otherwise you will be regretting it later.
