Williamg how did you mount your battery trays ?
|
Well, I just finished converting my SH Z-car buggy to electric and it came out real clean (Madusa 2200 motor.) Now I'm working on converting my Associated sc8 and it should be done in a week or so. I have everything, but the motor mount and custom battery tray, which I ordered from RC Monster (does anyone know how long a custom tray takes for them to make it and ship it out ?) I'll be installing a Mamba Monster combo 2200 and will be using an Impulse Lipo 4s 4800. As for the servo, Im using an Airtronics 94362. For my receiver I'll have a Spektrum SR3000. I made a base for the ESC, which will be mounted on top of the center diff. I was worried about L.G, but it really did not make a differance when I installed the same on my buggy. I'm trying to keep the wt. on both sides even, by placing the lipo on one side and the electrics on the other (exept the esc). The big Monster motor is pretty close to the lipo in wt. and then with the receiver and servo on the side of the motor, it should be pretty balanced. It should look pretty close to how my buggy is set-up. So here is a link for my buggy just give you guys an idea on how my set-up will look like. Here it is, done at last. I was lucky to get one of the Assoicated conversion kit so soon. I had place an order way back and it came in sooner then I thought it would. The kit made it an easy conversion, one of the best kits I have ever worked with. Check out my new painted body. I'll try and get more photos of the conv. kit. I was going to go with the same set up as my buggy, but I changed when the kit came in. Just click ----> http://s258.photobucket.com/albums/h...t=ae68efec.pbw
