No 40mph is waaay to slow for me :) i whan't min 50mph !

Except for efficiency and a bit less heat I don't see any reason that 4S is not a viable option in the E-Revo. Just make sure your batteries (probably 4S - 8000mAh best) can push the higher amount amps required for the lower voltage setup.
My peak with an Eagle Tree with 6S and a 1515/2.5d in the e-revo was about 2200 Watts. That's about 100 Amps on 6S - means you'd be looking at about 150 Amps on 4S. I find that even pushing the constant C rating on lipos the batteries get pretty warm, so for a 4S 8000mAh pack I would say something with a TRUE 20-25C rating at minimum. |
maybe i scould put an 1521in there and gear it 22/54 ?
|
That motor would pull more amps, epecially if you geared it pretty tall for higher speeds- it may produce more torque, but it'll work the batteries even harder (unless my thinking is way off the mark).
I'd say stick to 4s lipo & the 1515 1y, just buy decent batteries with good specs- zippy blue bricks or some nice Enerland 25c items. If you could stretch to the newer Elite 35c lipos, you'd be happy as larry* with the results. *English expression, not refering to larrydino. |
"Your mom is a blue brick."
That was my sense of humour. Told you i have one. |
The epicness of your fail is matched only by your lack of comical talent...
My mum looks more like an old leathery creature- too many years sunbathing I think.... |
Reminder: I have a Neu 1515/2.5d that I'll let go of. Either sell or trade for a Neu 1512/2.5d...

hm.. maby i'm crayzy but would it be possible to upgrade the driveline in an e-revo so it will handle an 1521 motor on 6s lipo? that would make my e-revo crazy fast and strong !!! Like 75mps topspeeds and backflipi'n wheelies !
Would a mmm handle an 1521 motor on 6s ?i'm going to use an ex fan and u-bec !! |

I would use a stock MMM, the external fan would definitely void the warranty and I'm not sure about the BEC. It should handle it just fine IMO, I'd ask Castle to be sure but I wouldn't worry. |
What about 1515 1.5Y? Less amps, more runtime... Could this motor work fine on a 1/8MT with 6S?
I was going to buy this, but now I have to decide between 1.5Y & 2.5D....... I do not want to run toooo fast, and I do not know if my batts are capable to handle enough current (Zippy-H 5.000 20-30C). I believe the 1.5Y is perfect for me, what do you think? |
