How was everyone's christmas?
|
Not to bad other than my mmm decieded to die. That kind of killed one of my holiday plans.
My kids and wife were happy so all in all it was a good day |
That sucks to hear. Was it the V3?
|
Yeah it was a v3. A resistor is missing off the board. So it now does nothing.
|
Will it be covered by warranty?
|
I hope so. Its brand new. It came with the 2200 combo.
I was driving in the yard goofing around doing some drag races and stuff and on the second battery it just stopped. I took it inside and hooked it up to the castle link and still nothing but the bec works to the radio and servos. So I went to pull it from the chassis and the case opened up again. I didnt think anything about it and well since its open I will check it out. Then I noticed a resistor missing and was like CRAP! So I searched the living room floor trying to find a little itty bitty resistor(no luck though). I tried to call castle by I guess there are still out for the holidays. I will try back next week. I hope the turn around isnt to long. |
Hectic.
Well things have been somewhat hectic around here in Korea. We had a quiet morning for Christmas just having the kids open up their presents, and taking photos for the family. With the wife in California awaiting radiation treatments it is kind of hard to enjoy this. Still the kids are having fun and they were actually grateful for what they got after such a hard year and losing their mom. Then to top things off two of our oldest children flew in from California and Seattle yesterday to spend some time with us before going back to school in various states. All in all I would say that we are grateful for what we have. Everyone is healthy and doing well. All of our oldest kids are in college and moving forward in their own lives now. What more can parents ask for. Our three little ones have had it rough, but they are adjusting well to their new lives living with us. So yes life is good. Hopefully the 2009 New Year will bring us some relief/joy/happiness. We wish all of you much the same.

Jerry-
I'm not young anymore, almost 30, but I don't have kids in college. (yet) I love reading your posts, which are always filled with your life experiences and worldly knowledge. The fact you still keep a positive attitude helps me. Does it get easier as you age? I sure hope so......... |
Age Is Relitive.
Good day to you Harold. There are only a few people on RCM that I can call old man, so yes I have lived some good and not so good experiences in my years Sir. I could not, nor would I ever compare what I have lived through compaired to what you have to live with every day Harold. I think your presence on here is a testiment to your good will about life.
Yes we all have periods and events in our lives on this Earth that are just horrible. We have the free will/choice to dwell on the bad or undauntedly move forward towards what we all know is inevitable. I love my life. I love life. There is much that I wish to do that I will never get to achieve, but I live through the things that I am able to achieve, and I am truly grateful for what comes my way. My father once told me that success is not measured by what you achieve, but in the efforts that you make in order to achieve those blessings. Bottom line is that we would all love to make millions, drive nice cars, have nice houses, and have a great partner to share all of it with. The problem with most is that we tend to get so blinded in the trying that they forget why we do it all in the first place. Sharing the love of those closest to us is the only legacy we get to leave with them once we are gone. Nothing else really matters. The money, the houses, the cars will all wear out and wither away, but your love will live on in them as they tell stories to their kids and grandkids about you. So don't get caught up in all of the world issues and personal failures and just keep on moving forward. The world does not care about our failures or personal setbacks, and they just keep moving forward wheather we are onboard or not. I am happy that we here at RCM get to share our thoughts and good wishes with each other for all to share in. There are some really incredible people in here and a lot of knowledge to draw from that will help us all in our quests, wheather that is to build the perfect/best R/C or to overcome difficulties at home. Live for the moment and smile at your family every day to let them know that everything is going to be ok. You have a good day Harold. I hope you get to have some fun with your kids this season. Merry Christmas Sir. Quote:
