hahaha, how do I really feel about it? Edited for the not-so-kiddies. :) There is a fee for a reserve, and the "insertion" fee is higher for a higher initial list price. But, that's the chance you take not paying for the other listing options. If it closes low, then too bad, its sold. |

You should email the guy a link to this thread... |
I'm glad you got some resolve. I'm still available for online bashing, and have been honing some geurilla warfare skills. Do you fancy the guys spleen?

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I'd rather not take it to that level. He got a severe beating the fair way and I'm quite fine w/ that.

Prolly better threads to post this in but I had this in my subscribed threads
I sold my evx-2 on ebay recently, a potential bidder had asked if I would accept a Money Order, I told them yes but I wouldn't ship until it clears my bank. They won and they lied about when they sent the MO out, wound up taking 9 days for me to receive the MO. I deposited it the next day and have planned on waiting 5 business days for it to clear. They had asked for me to notify them when I received the MO and I did and I explained to them that I was unhappy with being lied to and it would need to clear before I shipped the esc. It has only been in my bank for 3 business days and they are giving me a hard time for not shipping it yet. HAve I done something wrong? I have never dealt with money orders before and I will never accept them again! I figured 5-7 business days to clear just like a check, am I wrong? |

Mo can be the biggest scam out there. Do not accept them, unless you know who is sending them to you. Treat them like checks, when they clear, ship the item. If they have a problem, tell them to take it up with paypal (joke). And sell your stuff on forums, screw ebay. I have 1200 feedback there, but only buy from powersellers now. I hardly ever sell anything, cause you can get screwed. If they are acting weird make sure you track the package... At least they cannot screw you like they can with paypal. I had to refund money to a guy, and I know he received the package. I could not prove it... Just be careful with MO, they can be faked easily... |

Be wary, payapl may suck but at least if you are honest and cover your ass with tracking and confirmation you are gauranteed the money. |
Easy fix.... Use USPS online to buy postage and generate a tracking number.
Give him the tracking no and he'll be happy but you might not get to the PO for a couple of days ;) |
I only ever used USPS MO's, but they are a huge waste of time and money. You have to pay for them and ship them out. The seller then has to go to the bank to cash it as well. I'd just rather move things electronically.
OTOH, there is no one he can really complain to. As long as you were clear in your acceptance terms of the MO, even if he complains to ebay, you have the PMs to show the deal. He can wait. If he gives a neg based on slow shipping, you canget it overturned. A major hassle yes, but don't worry too much about it. He's lucky you said that you never recieved the MO and he needs to send another one :) |
usps money order no bank involved the seller can cash the money order at the post office get the money and ship the item out.
