Yes. That is very different from anything else Ive seen so far. And yea I agree with you the motor mount has been done before, but lets face it there are only so many places you can put the motor mount relative to the spur gear and only so many places you can put the center diff. At one point or another someone on this board has probably tried just about everything already so you cant be too critical of that IMO.

The only thing I dont like about it is it still has all of the weight pushed out to the edges of the buggy. It looks balanced, but very spread out. That and where the heck am I gonna find an Ishima here in the US? LOL

I don't really like the Ishima, but they did do more than most other mfgs, and I think it's a good balanced car. I'm pretty sure there was a mag review a while back that had a similar layout, but not done nearly as nice. And I think that car used odd size small lipo packs.

Jhautz... you still think we should do the Hyper9 layout?

:)

That was the Mega Motors 1/8 conversion a while back. it used plywood for a bunch of the parts. lol

That Hyper 9 chassis is not going to flex hardly at all with those two big stampings running the length of it.

jhautz 02.09.2009 09:30 PM

Yea, they probably did that because of the long drivshaft running from back to front.
