I ran my truck with no slipper. :) I know it was wrong but it worked. I rd logics in the truck. I broke them. My brother ran mip cvds with a slipper and broke them. To me there is only one set of cvds to get. UE I run the center titanium ones over the mip center set for the pin came out on mine and my brothers. I don't have to worry about that on ue. It may cost a little more but It would have saved me in the long run. Good luck on your build up.

Yeah, good luck on your build.

14 cells but like i said i plan on going brushless sometime.

got a link to UE?

Sylvester 12.31.2005 09:59 PM

www.Unlimitedengineering.com , You should be fine on 14 cells.

a dumb question what is supermaxx?

squeeforever 12.31.2005 10:55 PM

that is just the line of parts they make for the maxx trucks.

jdtmaxx 06.18.2007 08:55 AM

i keep braking them all the with my tmaxx, but get some mip or tsias cvd's.

GorillaMaxx360 06.18.2007 03:18 PM

i would just upgrade to aluminum or 3.3 diff cases for the diffs, and only on stock motors i would not worry about breaking the diffs. also the bulks are ususally the first thing to break so you might want to pick up some gray 3.3 bulkheads and those are cheap.

mkrusedc 06.20.2007 02:18 AM

Just finished replacing my black bulks with gray ones. They are definately reinforced. Should be stronger.

my 2 cents: I used 3.3 shafts to the wheels w/ RPM arms and knuckles. I puchased dogbone centers from RC-monster. A brushless setup may spin the pins out of the CVDs then you have more repairs again.

3.3 drivetrain and alloy bulks and make sure u bring extra packs lot more flipping than breaking......... if your jumping you might want to uprade your shocks i love my bigbores i also went with rc raven springs to perfect combo ( heavier spring)

mkrusedc 08.26.2007 04:56 PM

I used BigBores with RCRaven dual rate springs and 40 wt oil front 50 wt rear. They were great for jumping. I just upgraded to PowerStroke shocks. IMO even better!

tight slipper = stress on other parts -> you will break something eventually no matter how strong your truck will be.

truck like this needs to have at least minimal slip. get better slippet like strobe that will allow you to to crazy stuf while allowing some slip
