for example, i know it is possible to run 2x 6cell packs in parallel to run a total of 12cells. is it possible to run both of the controllers sharing 12cells (i.e. running the controllers in parallel)?

thanx,

It would work with no problems in your case and it would be a painful setup for e-maxx type applications.

In your case two motors are not connected to each other directly, so any misbalance would be compensated by wheels not by ESC/Motor/Battery.

In the case when motor tied together (like e-maxx setup through spur gear) any difference in motors RPM (due to the motor mismatch or ESC’s freq/timing mismatch…) will be absorbed by ESC/Motor/Battery. Which translates in ESC failure, Motor overheat or Battery extensive discharge.

I would personally NOT use both controllers on the 12 cells, you must know that this setup will drain your batteries very quick, and besides, it will drastically shorten the lifespan of your cells. because you will be pushing them to the maxx.

You will find the answer in lipoly. And you will be pushing those lehner 4200's to the 60000 rpm with ease..
