cool i run my 3d on 4s (18-20/44)for the TIGHT indoor track out here, but 6s everywhere else works really well(15/44 for about 40)

i like the size/wieght/price of mikes batts, but castle already said my 3200xp's were too small @80 amps, are mikes cells that much better? 10-15 min race is the longest i will run so runtime shouldnt be an issue me thinks...

your 3200 xps should be fine as long as your running 5-6s with them and not 4s, heck i run some cheapo protek 5s 4000 20/30c packs and theyve been running with that motor for over 6 months now, but the 3d isnt designed to run on 4s, you should use 5s and let the gearing compensate for the tight track not the voltage. we had a guy burn up a 1512 3d at our 1st brushless 1/8th race trying to run it on 4s and gear it up for high 30s....just wasnt working.

he was running it in a D8 geared for 40ish and was pushing it hard.....not the smartest move, his main problem was not supporting the motor wires where they exited the can leading to a cooked wire and motor.
we finally got the batteries in this morning and ran the revo today..... its sooo sick handles great with mike setup, the 6s lipo and 1512 3d setup is brutal in the MT with no center diff, its getting over 25 mins on the track and was usally up to about 130 after 7-8 mins and never broke 160 even after 20+, needless to say josh easily won the races today by a LONG ways, and we didnt even have the sway bars or his dx3r and a good servo installed..... makes me want one really bad. and yes mikes 6s 2500 lipos fit perfect in the revo they are 30.5 mm thick and fit just right. |
