I am using the CC MMM combo (2200kv) in my muggy, the muggy weighs in at 7.8 lbs with everything except lipos and wheels. My aluminum gmaxx weighs 7.8 with no wheels or lipos too and runs a MMM/2d. Keep the wheels and lipos as light as possible and it works great. Throw on 800g wheels and tires id up it to a bigger motor.

I decided that the money could be spent on a MMM esc and a servo, insted of the 2200 motor. I will just run the 10xl c50 on 6s in the muggy. But thanks for the info...

Nah, the 6x6 lst will have a hacker c50 11xl and a MMM and run 6s lipo. Basically the setup out of my regular lst, geared a bit lower to take some strain off the motor. Thinking 35mph will be plenty for that truck. i will wait for the 1800 or 1500kv cc motors... 2200 on 6s lipo is just too much for my gearing requirements.

I use a 1515 2.5D on 6s in my Muggy, the 1515 seems to power it fine doing 40 - 45 mph. I would snatch it up if it is a good deal. I wouldn't mind a bigger motor for speed runs, of course then battery size may need to be bigger.

Hmm, just scored up a 1515 2d (1900kv) and a neu energy 5000 235c 5s lipo. Methinks that will be the power system for the muggy...

EDIT: Didn't see other post.

I'm impressed! 5Ah @ 235C would be 1175A continuous! I bet the voltage wouldn't drop at all at a mere 200A current draw. Of course, if you ran them that high, runtime would be a little over 15 seconds.

Yeah I did the math and figured the c rating was a bit high, but it is always nice to have some headroom... Plus you can charge them at 50c, so I need to make a deans to 220v ac adpater and just plug in the wall.

I did some research, the gearbox mounts up with screws. I have heard various things about how the pinion is held on (setscrew, and loctite) so we will have to see when I get the motor in. I already sold the gearbox... 70 bucks shipped. (I know, I suck). So I figure a neu 1515 for 80 bucks was not too bad... Almost makes that 235c lipo at 90 bucks seem overpriced.
