Moving to a pull-start? Use gloves, trust me!! My stupid Aftershock may have a small air leak in the tank primer, which I read is common. It takes forever to get it running and I got some blisters a few times. I installed the back plate for the spin-start and it makes it so much easier. I have a new tank coming, but I hardly drive this thing as is.

Again, gloves are your friend with a pull-start. I just use some contractor type gloves that are good for moving wood/rock, using tools, but agile enough to hold the small pull-start handle.

Holy old thread. Thought this looked familiar.
My update: toss the nitro and go BL. Converted my Sav to BL & never looked back.
