My take so far on the 3s:
Glitching issue post from my forum: I just do not want glitching problems with my Baja or range issues for that matter. I am going to put some fresh batteries in and give it another try. I really like the feel of the DX3s but cannot stand and type of glitching. It was glitching/cutting out to the point that the Rustler would just stop dead in its tracks, then it would finally go again. Almost as if possibly the failsafe was kicking in at those times. Other times I would be doing a high speed run and you could hear and feel it cut out and back on again. I could tell it was the worst on one side of the parking lot by the school. It kept doing it in the same spot too. I hope I some how can remedy this. I am going to try fresh batteries tomorrow and see if it resolves it. |
It is 2.4ghz it is not immune to interference from other 2.4 signals such as a noisey set of high power wireless routers in the school i'd bet.
Also could be a lot of setup things such a bec voltage drops, insuffecient power to esc and wiring position. Given success of 2.4 and lack of reported issues I'm not convinced it is a widespread issue. |
I agree. 2.4 is pretty solid. There are many channels to choose from and it does it automatically. But, IIRC, someone (Pdelcast?) mentioned Speks being sensitive to v drops, or may even noise on the power line itself. A cap on an unused port can help with that, along with maybe a ferrite ring on the throttle cable. It really depends what the real source of the glitch...

Funny thing is too my buddy was running a DX3.0 in the same spots with no issues.

Pick up a nomadio react- they're great. Telemetry, 40 model memory, great funtionality, and I picked mine up off of fleabay for $140 used.

Anyway, I have been watching the React for quite awhile. I just have all Spektrum receivers/transceivers and I am not convinced that all of the software bugs have been worked out to allow the use of Spektrum receivers with the Nomadio React. Can anyone here comment on this? Actually, and more specifically, does anyone have first hand data/experience to confirm they work together? Thanks. |

Dude.... What are you saving them for? List them on ebay in one auction with mulitple items. Even at$ 20 each thats a butt load of money sitting there! |
Yep, I havent used it because I don't have the cable, but I bet it would be cool.

I really like my nomadio react. the only thing is, if the last person that owned the controller, and registered it, has to transfer it to you. i got one on the bay last year and had to talk to 3 people to get it registered as it was reported stolen:( it all worked out in the end, but to use the functionality of software changes you MUST have it register to you and you alone. that said i love the radio its light comfy and has way to many options plus, live temp and such. this thing is ahead of its game. the 3 people were nomadio tech, real owner, and seller.
i really like my radio |
