well, the jb is curing as I type this. If it holds the weight of that big kb after being propelled on 6s and cartwheeling I am going to buy stock in the jb weld company. (Justice Brothers, they make swell chemicals)

i think there needs to be a heatsink/clamp for the KB motors. the feigao sized ones are great at keeping the feigaos from falling apart. the better cooling is just a bonus. if there was one for the KB45-xl motors, i'd buy 1.

Yeah, I can imagine a custom one-off clamp for a different diameter motor would be prohibitively expensive. $60 for the motor, $200 for the heatsink - and you still don't have a Neu despite paying the price of one.

maybe someone can ask make if he can start making and selling heatsink/clamps for the KB motors. the design could be the same as the feigao sized one but bigger.

I can also attest to the power of JBweld. I had two motors with separated rotors, a hv4400 novak and a 1200xl basic lehner (different times but same problem). neither had split, so i JB welded them and they held as long as i had run them. I still run the 1200xl to this day without problems, on 5s lipo. I used the standard JB weld , not the quickweld and the standard will hold to 600* if heat

Well, this will be an ultimate test for jb weld. The threads were toast, so after applying the jb weld instead of screwing the endbell back on, I just "popped" it baack in with a hammer blow. Thats a 2 pound motor hanging on with nothing but an adhesive! I plan on cartwheeling at about 60mph, so we'll see........
