YEAH!! That's awesome. Not only will it work and be easy, but it will suit all me needs and it will be more efficient. I'm going to do some more research. Feel free to show me what I would need.

I just did some math and I'll need a 14/185 pinion/spur to do it all in one shot. :oops:

You won't be able to do a single stage reduction with that motor.

A 14/72 into 14/36 would be about as close as you can get to ideal, although a larger than 36t rear sprocket would be better. The only hitch with using the top hat adapter is that you will need a left side drive freewheel.

A straight reduction is about 10/180 iirc. If I used some small chain it might be possible... I want to keep my current setup but just get a couple different gears so I have a low and high gear with the motor.(8 total) I have a 2 hour study hall tomorrow, I should be able to figure it out.
