I'm gonna buy one of the Revos when they come out, no doubt. Along with all the hopups. :) Just gotta sell something. :(

Anyone else notice the sealed diff saying its the only one like that? Its not...The Kyosho Mini Inferno ST has had that for a couple years now...

It says lipo cut off for 2s and 3s.

Mini LST2 had sealed diffs too. They sucked in that one though, just not quite as bad as the MLST difs.

Forgot all about the MLST2. But then again, MLST=EPIC FAILURE.

Nice!!!!

Its finally out, yeaaaa. I hope the battery box is not limited to 90mm batterys, 100mm is a better battery to find, closer to the rc18 side by side packs. I know i'll get a ME revo eventually, will probably leave it stock (link wise) though i'll change the motor and esc eventually. I have thought a 1105/7 neu would be perfect for this truck with 4 s lipo, however, if it has a dual pattern motor mount, like the E revo, you might see my lehner 1200xl/quark80/5s setup in there . Looks solid and hope traxxas learned from others on what not to do on mini's. It looks like they could do a center diff in it as well

Oh and one more thing, Gorillamaxx, please make a G based chassis for this, My G2R needs a little brother or son

BP-Revo 04.10.2009 04:53 AM

If you look in the accessories page it already has a center diff as a listed option.

I'm getting one when it comes out for sure, hope it isn't too expensive...though I think I can recoup some cash from selling the battery and charger that comes with it. I think it'll be a big draw to some newbies on the Traxxas forum. Probably can get close to 50 bucks for the pair...

Unsullied_Spy 04.10.2009 07:08 AM

I think they said to expect them to be $250-$300. Too bad I just bought a Micro DT :(

Maybe it's just me, but I really wish we could get a Traxxas video that didn't have time effects done to it. The one I watched for the mini E-Revo was sped up throughout almost all of the video. They're really high on themselves for making it, why not let it's performance speak for itself without having to cover it up with video editting?

I think my son will end up with one of these. He is only 16 months but loves pushing mine around my slash or e-revo. Well atleast I can say its for him. :)

skellyo 04.10.2009 09:38 AM

Just called my LHS and told him to make sure he's got 1 of each set aside for me when they come in.

skellyo 04.10.2009 10:26 AM

MSRP:

Mini Slash $490
Mini E-Revo $510

From the best I can tell, the VXL Rustler has a MSRP of $490 and the VXL Stampede MSRP is $510. If the current price of those are any indication of street price, we should be looking at between $250-280 for each of these new trucks.

Sounds a little high to me. A rc18Mt is $180 for a brushed setup...

looks like a big enough difference to justify the cost. the sealed diffs and a brushless system are worth the extra, at least to me.

I agree. Where else can you even buy a RTR brushless mini? I don't think I've seen one yet, at least not from a major manufacturer.

If they sell for around 250 it is definitely worth it. The 18t is much smaller and weaker, and the rtr equipment is pretty poor, as far as upgrade ability is concerned. Looking at the traxxas motor and esc I doubt I would swap them out... 30 on 2s and 45+ on 3s is just right.

I looked at the specs for other traxxas vehicle to get a size comparison, and the mini revo is about the same with as a bandit, and a few inches shorter. The mini slash is a bit longer due to the body. Both look good, but I favor the mini revo for my driving locations. Looks like fun, and I may have sold my rc18t!

The only thing that needs to be changed is to get rid of that AM radio and put in a 2.4GHz system. It IS brushless after all!
