More carbon fiber parts...
4 Attachment(s)
Sitting around with a little time on my hands, since I completed the CF top place and servo plate, I decided to take it a bit further and cut out the front and rear shock towers. These came out great considering the work was done using a hacksaw and an assortment of dremel bits. Here are the stock aluminum and the CF parts side by side and installed on the car.

Nice! What is the weight difference with all CF?
After the chassis is replaced, the weight reduction should be about 2 lbs.
Not bad at all! 2lbs on a ~8lb car (loaded) is a savings of 25%. Good job!
Looks awesome great job. Those small pieces are a bitch to get perfect. How thick are they?
Yes Monk they are. And you run the risk of wasting a lot of material. Carbon fiber ain't cheap.

Veryy Niiiceeee......

After an exhaustive search to locate a hobby shop that carries Ofna's DM-1 wheel, I finally found them. I go them installed with matching hud caps. The black on black look is beast. The black carbon chassis is next. Then I can focus on the powerplant and battery.
Lovin it blacked out like that. What's your powerplant going to be?
Mamba Monster 2200 on 6s.
Oh.... You're so unique!
I trust Castle...but I like Medusa also. No need to be different. Just want to be fast...and managable.
Wow nice job w/the cf and keep the updates coming...can't wait to see a vid! I so want one of these, but I need to sell a few that I am not using first!
Thanks...I am ordering the CF sheet for the chassis tomorrow. That will be the weekend project.
