Well, a XL is going to be much better indeed. Go for flm hybrids and a single speed conversion from G-MAXX. The s.speed conv. would help you get some more speed, too.
What XL are you guys talking about there is more than one and why is a XL going to be better than a Feigao 540 10L? I'm only guessing that the 10L is the best Feigao? I don't know what numbers to look at to see what motor has the most speed or power?
Can you explain how you know? The Warrior 9920 will work with almost any motor? btw do you guys think that the Maximizers would hold up? |
if you want long runtime use a 9xl
for more speed use a 7xl and for somewhere inbetween use an 8xl the warrior 9920 will work with any of those motors the 9920 can handle up to 20 cells and 99 amps continuous also when using more than 12 cells you will need a ubec or reciever pack and instead of using a fiego motor get a BK because they have better bearings |
There are three sizes of these brushless motors:
S= short can and rotor= standard size motor. No good for big trucks. L= long can and rotor= 10mm longer than the S size= more torque and run time= good for stock e-maxx XL= Xtra long can and rotor= 10mm longer than the L size= tons of torque and a very good amount of run time, too. The 9920 should work with most of them, but not all of them. As Boss302 said, the Wanderers have better bearings than the Feigaos. |
What is a ubec or reciever pack?
UBEC is an external "battery elimination circuit". It takes power from your main batteries and regulkates it to a constant 6 volts to power your servos. The controllers have a built in BEC, but it is less efficient, provides less voltage to the servo, and is only rated for 12 cells.
also it would protect the controller if the ubec goes out it would be a $35 dollar fix rather than buying a whole new controller if the internal bec went out
do you guys think that the Maximizers would hold up?
there 7075 aluminum. they should hold up easily.
so if i get a differant esc like the warrior and use any amout of cells i have to use a UBEC?
you would have to use a ubec on anything over 12 cells

Is the Maximizer worth getting or should i just get UE's diffs? If i get the Maximizer whats a good diff case to put them in? Whats the option of them for robinson gear mean? I would also like to replace the stock Steering Block i guess this will do? but where do i find the rear ones? Thanks! |
