Sure you will get some of the guys in here saying go for it with the dual motor setup just to see how that works out for you, but we all know it will cause you even more headaches then you already have. Do "The Right Thing" and just install a bigger single motor setup and your issues will be much easier to deal with.

For what you want to do with your truck like stated just get the Neu 1527 motor and hook up with Lutach in here for the HV ESC. He has what your looking for. If money is no object then get the Plettenberg Bolido motor for your setup and problem solved. That thing is a work horse and should be able to drive your 17lb truck and not even break a sweat.

The 1527 on 8-10s should provide MORE than enough power!

do you guys know of an esc that is capable of 8-10s that also has brakes and reverse?

Thats Lutach. He sells a nice 10s capable esc with a programming box. He should be able to help you.

Or you could look for a Castle Pheonix HV110 and get a PiStix adaptor.
