he uses a center diff instead of a e tranny.

p.s.- the ultramaxxed 1st and 2nd speed gears were aluminum not steel.

I have put a 9xl on 20 cells on the tranny with no failures. I have a center diff for the 2250. It needs a hi gearing for drive train. My final drive is 10.5 to 1. It pulls it no problem. I plan on further testing of motors and such to. If I break it up. I will let you know.

With a single speed, the stock output gear will hold up to some serious power! IMO, a metal output gear is not necessary. I could make the 36 tooth ouput gear from steel(I have the gear stock), but I haven't found any 31 tooth stock for the 2nd speed ouput.
