that hot screwdriver sounds like a cool trick. sounds like everybody uses the reamer tool huh. i might have to invest in one, but ill see how well the drill works first...as i already own one.

harbor freight step bits for me. The make it nice and clean, and don't have to change bits to go a little bigger.
how you guys get a perfect two holes aligment on a rc body or others ?
Do it before you paint the body. Sit the body on the posts and mark the holes with a permanent marker.
I have never understood why you would paint, then trim/drill holes. It just doesn't make sense to me.
It would make sense if bodies didn't come with that protective film, but yeah, it makes no sense with todays stuff. Much easier to cut the holes, cut, and trim, then paint.
its because I buy rc body already painted and need to drill holes ... I think it is more a luck to get 2 holes perfectly without see anything...
In that case, put some dabs of paint on your body posts, and set the body down on them to mark the back side. Do one end or the other first, then mark the other end. Usually works good for me.

I use a lexan reamer and my wife's curved finger nail scissors. Shsssh! Don't tell her.
Paint on the top of the body posts works for me. |
I use a body reamer also. Works likes it made to work. lol
Also I use the paint on the body posts to mark where to put the holes. |
