Selling the RC18T doesn't seem like a good idea though. I'm getting a job in September or August since Ill be old enough and Im going to start saving for a 1/8 conversion. I have almost $300 invested in the RC18T not including the Radio and Charger. If I were to sell it right now as a roller in need of a few parts I would be lucky to get $100 for it. That is too much money to loose IMO. I'm just going to get my RC18T running so I have something to hold me over while I save up for a 1/8 Truggy or maybe a 1/12 Truggy.
I need to spend $40 on parts just to get my RC18T into a roller and into a MT. Then Ill get a new motor and body and hopefully after that I won't have to spend much to keep it running. I just want a RC that I can put through hell and it keep asking for more without breaking the bank and for it to be bigger then my RC18T. A 1/8 Truggy seams like the best option but they are hella expensive and would take me a long time to save up for even after I get a job since there is other stuff I need to buy that is more important to me than RC. |
How fast do you need to go? I have been plenty happy with the speed of a stock rc18t. It's a small truck, 20-25mph seems lime plenty. I have run a mamba25/5400kv combo in my last one and was plenty happy with it on 2s with 60/15 and 55/15 gearing. I bought another 18t a month ago after selling my old one about a year ago, still playing Round with the stock motor and esc, plenty fast for such a small truck and a lot less likely to break parts than a 40mph balistic missile!

The top speed calculator said I was going almost 35 which was plenty fast for me.
