Yeah your very lucky it wasnt third degree burns. My brother had third degree burns on his left hand and they have to do skin grafts, off his butt. Ewwwww.

Whoa.. Now that's a horror story....
Sounds like the mower didn't feel like eating another hand that day.. |

Still have not heard.................. Why? Whatcha got planned for next week? Get better fast dude !!! |
I'll try to tell it all. I mowed the grass between the sidewalk and the street. I thought it could be a little shorter, so I started to lower the mower. I adjusted the rear wheels and one in front, then on the last one i leaned over to reach the other side. I supported myself with my hand on the muffler.
heres a pic. not as bad as i thought... I've got pretty good sized blisters on 3 fingers and thats it.:whip: http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/S7301938.jpg I cant bend or touch anything with those three fingers. |
You're not going to the RCM Bash are you...?
Isn't that your TX hand? Damn... that really sucks if you're going.....:oh: |
They'll stop hurting in a couple days, you'll live.

He lives in SD rawbuns...
Sucks about your hand Riley. I bet I can match your pain. I live on a big, steep hill and was riding my scooter down it with my friend (I was probably 11 or so) and didn't really know the laws of friction. Anyways, when we got to the bottom (about 3 minutes of being on the brakes the entire time) he had a stroke of douchebag and told me "hey, touch your brake lever". I did, and got a blister that took up about 2/3 of my palm and 4 of my fingers. I had to ice it for the next 2 days constantly, including sleeping heavily medicated with my hand in a bowl of ice water. I was not able to drive a RC for 2 weeks, nor bend or touch my hand. The degree turned out to be second degree, and popped after about 3 weeks. Pus went all over, and cleaning that is a whole 'nother story... |
i must be lucky
Maybe the perscription stuff helped... I iced it no longer then 30 seconds after it happened too,, up until I got the medication put on at the clinic. I've got to go put some more perscription cream on it then go to the wedding. I'll try to just use bandaids... |
Yeah, I just took a bunch of tylenol.
|
i played ping pong and I still owned up. It was hard to serve though with my hand all wrapped up...
|
Damn, i can't even play ping pong with my hand normal... I usually screw up somewhere around 2 minutes into the game...
|
Ouch I also had something like this happen when I first moved into my house. We got a new electric stove(you know the one flush with the counter and everything) and it was right after the wife cooked dinner. The dog snatched something when ere cleaning the dishes and I when down to pick up the food so the dog didn't get and I braced myself by putting my hand ontop of the counter(yes where the stove was, I didn't know I was still new to the new layout of the house) and the stove was left on by my wife.
I burn my hand AND fell the dog breaking one of her legs(that was a pretty penny to fix). Second degree burns aren't fun.....i'll leave it at that.... |
