The diameter of the wanna-be NEU in my truck is 37mm diameter X 48mm Long. I had to grind the little hump on the chassis that is over the center shaft in order for it to get a perfect gear mess with 50/28. There is also 1mm gap between rear shock tower and the rear of the can.

Wow, cool link !!! Revos with a death wish LOL.

The size of a Neu shouldn't be an issue with that tenbol motor mount, especially when they've put one in there on that page.

I am then going to need a pinion that is atleast 18T?What is the stock pinion T count in the Slash? The above link has 14T as the largest available.

Yeah I figured that but if anyone wants to stick to the same sized can they have some specs to go by.

It would be cool if Mike made these Motormounts. His stuff is the best!!!!!!!!!

holy hell that video on the big block mount site is NUTS that gotta be a +35mph rolling backflip............. that cant be good for the drivetrain! but wow i totally want one now....

Monk, why not go for a Neu 11-series motor instead? I have a 1115 (5700kv) and it's downright nasty in my mini revo. Purchased another stock esc for dirt cheap and modded it with some low esr caps to handle the load. Also went with the smallest spur offered and a 31t pinion. I'm still weary of tearing up the drivetrain so I swapped back to the stock setup. I had to modify the rear shock stay due to the length of my motor, but a Neu 1110 would fit perfectly. I'd pit a Mini-Revo/Neu 1110 5700kv up against any big block setup. Enough speed on 2s to race with anyone and on 3s.. googula moogula!!

Thats a great Idea.Does the Neu 1110 have a 5mm shaft?

No, it's a 1/8" shaft. You don't need a 5mm shaft in one of these and the 1/8" 48P pinions are stupid cheap.

Standing and rolling backflips no nothing for me, I really don't see the point. But maybe tamed alittle more would be pretty sweet. What size 540 motor would be ideal to run on 2S? It says on their site that you would get better run times. What you get better run times running something like a 1110 Neu/MM over a 540 setup?

phatmonk 08.01.2009 08:28 AM

What about a Sidewinder combo with the 5700 KV 2s lipo and Bigblock motormount? All for a little over 200.00 dollars.Sold the Neu 1515.5Y/S on pbay.

phatmonk 08.01.2009 08:49 AM

Does anyone know the max amps on a Sidewinder. The CC website say more than I can handle and no specific amount.

Is your setup using the stock motormount? And if so what other mods were required other than the above mentioned.

Stock motor mount, no mods other than previously mentioned.
Simple install with no fuss no muss. I do not drag race mine, I have it tuned for the track and bash and with this motor I have fantastic run times and zero heat issues. The hottest I got the motor was 127F and the ESC stays ambiant temp. Couldn't ask for more, :yipi:
