My guess is that they became unsoldered from the heat.

Sylvester 02.12.2006 12:16 PM

Yea.. couldve been.....

Nabors 02.12.2006 12:34 PM

Yes the 2 caps the neg wire and what I believe to be an inductor all came off from the heat. I got the esc about two or three weeks ago from here. The caps are fine a little burned from the fire but the ends are still flat.

were you running a reciever pack or a ubec?

Sylvester 02.12.2006 02:58 PM

He didnt state any yet..... He was probably running a UBEC.

Nabors 02.12.2006 07:27 PM

I was running a rx pack.

Sylvester 02.12.2006 09:08 PM

oh ok:p Were the batteries fully charged or not?

Nabors 02.12.2006 11:06 PM

The pack was charged sometime last week. I just cycled it on my Duratrax ICE on a 2A discharge it still had a little over 600mah in it. Its a 1100mah pack.

Sylvester 02.12.2006 11:20 PM

Ok, hmmm, i dont know if that wouldve caused the problem. But i think you shorted out somthing in there. OR maybe its just a faulty controller.

E-maxx-kid 02.13.2006 05:30 AM

I personally think When the battery disconnected, the connector must have touched something that conducts eg metal and shorted the circuit, are you running a gorilla/supermaxx chassis?
