The buggy is indeed fast!! I think its ok, if your motor is getting hot, does it have a heatsink, if it does, id go down a tooth or 2.

hows the microcar 20120 controller compared to the warrior?

stampy 02.12.2006 07:17 PM

wow i though the savage was going to pull way more amps than the buggy but only pulled 5 amps more peak. that wattage on the buggy is crazy:004:

that might make it worse. brushless will get hot if over or undergeared. try one tooth higher if the esc and batteries arent hot.

Well he stated his motor was getting hot, not his controller/batteries, and i think this means its undergeared.

Downloading as we speak..

Do you like your eagletree? since it's an inline, i personally do fancy the other one (eagletree system) what is your opinion on this recorder Viruss?

virusss 02.13.2006 03:49 AM

The savage pull only 5 more amp of the buggy because on 16 cell the 9xl not develops the max power of which he is able.In the buggy the controller and the batteries is warm, but the motor is hot, therefore i suppose is undergeared, my gear is 13/46...the microcar 20120 and the warrior is very similar(the microcar is little smooth).
Serum the eagletree power logger is very nice, is little offers many parameter to log,and work very well, for log, watt, amp,Rpm,voltage drop, for me is ok

Sylvester 02.13.2006 08:22 AM

Than it may be undergeared, how is your controller?

virusss 02.13.2006 08:33 AM

in buggy warrior 9920, in the savage 20120 microcar

Serum 02.13.2006 01:06 PM

Encore...

:)

Looking good Viruss..

1-0 for the buggy! wheelies..

virusss 02.13.2006 01:10 PM

thanks serum, what do you think about problem of temperature the 1940/8 in the buggy?the controller is warm but the motor hot, is undergeared or 6slipo is too much for that motor?
ah... for you which it is the average of amp draw what is looked at in the diagrams?

Serum 02.13.2006 01:22 PM

It are diffs that use 43/13 gears, right? what pinion/spur do you use? the motor makes about 44000 rpm on 6S lipo. That sounds a bit high.

What is the diameter of the wheels?

virusss 02.13.2006 01:27 PM

the gears is right, pinion 13 spur 46, the wheel diameter is 114 mm...

Serum 02.13.2006 01:53 PM

It is geared for about 75 km/h then..

How hot does it get? 50 degrees allready feels like burning the hand!

virusss 02.13.2006 01:59 PM

in effect i dont use a temp gun, in this week end I will measure, whit temp gun for a more precise temperature... i I have confronted whit a 9xl in the savage, this motor is cold respect a 1940/8...
you say what to me regard to the diagrams?
What is for you the average amp draw of two motors?
