Looks like 05 maximas are hot. I have an 05 SE myself black on tan. Its just tinted so far. Waiting to see if I should get rid of it or order some parts.

HotnCold 02.14.2006 09:46 PM

I just did the tint a few weeks ago -i Love this car - I bought it with the navigation system - and i did the conversion so it plays DVDs on the same screen. I had a Mitsubisih Lancer Evo VIII - before the truck - but it was WAYYYY too fast and handled way too well for me to drive it like a family man. RC-Monster Mike has been in it - he kinda liked it - like a BL sedan LOL

'95 Accord EX, 2.2L VTEC and 5spd make it fun, for an otherwise not so fast car. Still stock, but I did put a dent below the gas cap in the rear fender with my Ofna 9.5, was screwing around in a neighbor's driveway and managed to cartwheel it into the side of my car and dent it with the front shock tower. I don't care really, and am proud to show it off, along with the tire marks from my 18MT I made the other day when I tried to have a "cross car rally".......accidentally lost traction driving up the windsheild and crashed into a curb busting a camber link.

Danno;
I really like your 05 SS with the 3.8 (i think) supercharged V-6 and 240hp. The new 06 with the 303hp V-8 and front wheel drive seems kinda silly though. As if your 240hp and fwd didn't have enough torque stear. GM needs to make that car RWD again. I've read somewhere their planning on it.

Crazyjr;
I am enjoying about 16mpg with my Dakota, what are you getting in yours?

Serum;
I sold Volvo's for about 3 years from 1997-1999. That car appeared here in 99 as a 2000 model. I know you guys had it a few years before we did. That wagon (estate) sure kicked some but in the BTCC though.

B15;
Is that an SE-R?

HotnCold;
Do you have one of those Edge computers (or the like) to get to that power? There is something about a diesel that can run an 11 second 1/4 mile that really does it for me. A wife says to her husband in their brand new 2006 Corvette Z06 "honey, did we just get beat drag racing that pickup?":035: Check out some of these vids. http://www.pacificp.com/video.htm#track03

I do follow Vauxhalls as well. The Vauxhall Lightning Concept Car was the basis for the design of the Saturn SKY roadster in my avatar. Here is the Lightning. http://www.motortrend.com/future/con...308_news_vaux/

Squee;
I will forever miss my 95 YZ 250.:026:

Coolhand;
We have allready talked about your rides. You rock!:cool: :027: We shall drag race if either of us ever gets our trucks finished.:D

Papa & rc4x4nut;
I love your luxo rockets, those are what I call "sleaper" cars. Performance of a sports car in a family sedan body. My co-worker has one and she loves it.

HotnCold 02.15.2006 07:28 AM

JohnnyMaxima - Yea - Running the Edge controller with the PPE HOT Program loaded along with Modded Fuel Rails, Boost Controller, Twin Fuel Lift Pumps, 4" Straight Turbo Back, Dead Kitty, Fully Built Tranny, and some other nit nat stuff. It sure is fun beating up on V8's LOL - It literally smokes my Maxima - :005: This is a friend of mines Dodge Diesel dyno numbers http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/DSC00789.jpg

Serum 02.15.2006 01:51 PM

A Friend of mine has got a toyota Supra, it has 435 bhp, it is tweaked with a single instead of bi-turbo.

I was thinking about getting an S80 T6, but those ships are rather heavy.. heavy, but a true travel mate..

No, I would never buy an SE-R of this generation (02-06). Theyre possibly the most self destructive cars sold in america right now. About 40% of the 02s have literally eaten their own catalytic converters, and had to have their engines replaced under warranty. If any body here is thinking about buying one, go read here first.
Mine has the 1.8 liter base model engine, but after the stuff Ive done to it its about as fast as a stock SE-R. It has intake, header, exhaust, and intake manifold spacers, and it makes about 130-140 horsepower at the wheels. And because of the sticky tires and suspension work done to it (coilovers, rear sway bar, nismo front control arms, strut tower brace, etc) , its quite a bit faster than a stock SE-R in this kind of stuff:

My daily driver is a 2003 Toyota Tacoma quad cab. For fun I have a 1976 Mini cooper and an 86 S-10 with an LT-1 in it. The Mini is mostly stock, but the truck has everything under the sun done to it. I haven't driven the truck with the V8 in it yet. It's my 10 year project... I'm currently on year 9. :027: Here are a few pics

Hi, I have a 2002 Dodge Ram Sport. 20'' wheels, tinted windows, sliding back glass, 6 speaker infinty CD. No Hemi :025: It has a 4.7 v8 (replaced the 318) Does pretty good at 18 mpg.

BrianG 02.15.2006 04:33 PM

'05 Mazda 3 Hatch - Lava Orange. No pictures yet though.

squeeforever 02.15.2006 05:58 PM

OH!, i new i forgot one. also have a 1991 GMC Syclone. was the fastest production pickup out until the dodge srt-10. i think it will probably take most of them in the quarter since they cant get hooked up well and the Syclones 4wd is a big benifit but it gets a little flat at about 90 but up to that its a ROCKET! we test drove a srt-10 and it wasnt really that impressive.

HotnCold;
1243 lbs of torque! At 2250 rpm! Holly crap! That thing should be able to yank a Redwood out of the ground like it was a wead!

Serum;
If I were given $30,000, and could only by a used car, the Supra would be it.
I have always loved that car. Especially the time when I drag raced this old man in his Supra and I was in my Toyota Truck. He was pissed when I beat him. Really pissed when he found out it was just a 4 cylinder.
I liked selling those S80's. Especially the T-6. The twin turbo inline 6 is no longer going to be the top engine next year, they are going to put the V-8 from the XC90 in there.

B15;
I never new that the SE-R's were so un-reliable. A buddy of mine had a first gen. SE-R and had pretty good luck with his. I don't think it was the same engine as your gen. though.
Is that you autocrossing in that pic? What tires are you running? I used to run Yokahama A008's on my truck when I would autocross it. I loved the sound of the little rocks and pebbles flinging up into the wheel-well when the tires were heated up.

CCristo;
Get that S-10 running. Then me, you, HotnCold, mmdooley, squee and coolhand can get into a 6 way drag race with our trucks! I'd win:p any takers?:005:

BrianG;
Did you know your Mazda 3 is built on the same platform as the current Volvo S40, and the European only Ford Focus? You've got a great little car there. Can't wait for the Mazdaspeed version to come out.

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 02.16.2006 05:36 AM

Oh yeah, HotnCold, I'm still trying to figure out how your Maxxima and Sienna fit into "All things American":005:

HotnCold 02.16.2006 08:19 AM

In " All things american " - I meant That lovely "shake" and the eagle pic - Its hard to beat the maxima when you compare it to anything american ( so sorry to even have to say it ) and if there was an american company that made an all wheel drive minivan like the toyota - I would be in line for it as well....

Mine went to the tinter on the way home from the dealer. I dropped in the K&N air filter. It feels like it made a difference. Kinda throaty engine note now. I'll do more when the warranty runs out. Could be awhile. I was rotating the tires at 18k Miles and noticed that all 4 of the Eagle GSA 245/45/18's had cracks in the sidewall. Took them to Goodyear for service and they replaced them at about 25% of retail. Looks like I was on the way to 40k plus miles in tread life... damn cracks. Hmm...Talk to me about this conversion. I have the bose system, no satelite or Nav. system. What can I do?
