From what i have been running and reading, for your 4S setup, i'd be looking at the 2000kv truggy combo... i have had good success with it myself =) The 1700kv setup would be good if you race on a small tight track, and if you think may run 5S in the future...

I've also had no problems with the tekin motors btw (have had a 2650 buggy and a 2000 truggy, but not sure which design they are) - i have found them great =)

I would go with the 1700 or 2000 combo. Run it sensored it is the way to go. Only if the MMM was sensored i would be a happy guy. The reason he is suggesting it cause Mike at rcm has the updated rotor version. Which amain might not have. You wouldnt want to buy something and have the motor rotor blow up on you would ya.

i definatly recommend the monster mamba package.it is an easy install, just plug in and play.the rcm mounts and pinions are fantastic.

+1 so far from me!

Good to see you made your way here Ross! :yipi:

My 8T is almost sorted now and I'm dying to see it run. Had a go with a BL/Lipo Emaxx last weekend and that really whet my appetite to get this thing going!! I think there will be a lot of our lot with nitro's moving to BL/Lipo if it becomes easy to fit, reliable and the scares about using Lipo are put into context!

Hello Beanie, its your fault i'm looking into this dude :lol:.

I think i'm going with the CC,what with you,Rusty and Kwik all running them it seams the right thing to do :intello:.

The only real issue i am having is a few people at HNMC not really liking the thought of a 1/8th leccy running with the nitros, but the chairman seams to like the idea :intello:.

Yeah i'm sure once i start running it with the nitro's all will be cool :intello:

kneedeeppow 10.25.2009 09:29 PM

the nitros will just be scared of getting there a*se handed to them by an electric:na: there is a couple of brushless setups at our club and they are visually quicker than the nitros. as cool as the smell and noise of a nitro is,the pure acceration on these monster mamba brushless setups is just plain wicked:diablo:
