MOCKY, that is really cool experience.
Wow , Thank you so much guy. This is huge help. so great I can use Polystyrene . I hear ya on using the wood for the sections but I dont know how I would get them just right. I dont have a model to copy from. So I thought I would just start shaping my Styrofoam and use my good eye and measuring At my last job the model dept used some kind of foam to shape the machine, keyboard, etc. I though I would have to figure out the name and then wonder if I could afford it since I lost my job in 2008. This makes for a challenging long build. I normally don't worry about cost and do what I can to do it the correct way, but I'm low on cash. all this building money comes from selling things, sucks loosing my job. Thank you SO MUCH again ! |

i made it out of clay first, made a negative then a positive was made from that. first the clay positive (its a dragons head for the T&E-MAXX series truck) http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...dmaxx/clay.jpg then made a plaster negative. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...xx/wrapped.jpg i used bubble wrap to release the plaster positive from the plaster negative and to get scales. the bottom of the next pic is the negative sitting on my maxx http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h.../tmaxxbody.jpg and here is the final again next to other bodies. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...dmaxx/mod3.jpg |
