do you know where you bought those rear cvd's?
|
try here:
http://www.rcxshop.com/product_info....roducts_id=704 As i said they dont come with diff cups though |
Thanks!
What diffs are you using? Those things look sweet! I am curious if they would work with 1/8 sized diffs like UE. |
Had some good fun in the woods yesterday (oo eer!) Had to ditch the lovely chrome airfilter pipe as I had tuning probs beyond my patience.
The third pic below is next to my mates LST - as you can see they are exactly the same wheel base, what with the .21 chassis and extra length afforded by the Gorilla arms. http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/t-1.jpg http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/t-2.jpg http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/lst_maxx.jpg I've put up some clips on my server, they dont buffer before playing (not sure how to do that) http://www.rc4u.co.uk/movies/t_maxx/t1.MPG Some meager jumps - its pretty hard to line up! http://www.rc4u.co.uk/movies/t_maxx/t2.MPG The cameraman thought he was going to be wearing a t-maxx http://www.rc4u.co.uk/movies/t_maxx/t3.MPG My friends LST - he seems to get better air time to me http://www.rc4u.co.uk/movies/t_maxx/lst1.MPG |
Great looking truck and nice vids!

Braided;
one final question on these rear cvd's; are they longer than the front ones? Can you measure the length from where it touches the bearing and where the pin is, that is in the diff? |
Hey Dov - have you tried an LST body on your T
:idea With those wheels and the extra wheelbase - it may look in scale (more like a large stadium truck) |
That isnt in richmond park is it?

Hi, I've had her in bits waiting to revise my build! I like the new proline 650 body, this one is the extended version as G suggested. Wow this is a long body - much longer than the extended hummer body. I used the longer stock rear bumper mounts at either and the body just fits snugly making it fit quite secure, i am quite confident this will keep its integrety in a crash.

While in bits i used inch long screws to fit the roll bar properly
http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/roll_bar.jpg I nicked the lexan sheet stuck to the chassis idea off of the ue supermaxx. Should keep the chassis and inside area dry and free from dirt I got a nice thick bit of lexan from the lhs and cut out all the screw holes and other attachments. Its stuck down with industrial strength double sided sticky tape. http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/lexan.jpg http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/lexan_1.jpg |
not to be out done by my mates double servoed lst I got the proline servo saver and added a couple of hitecs working in sync.
Its so much more responsive than before. The only downside is my battery pack only lasted about 8 / 10 tanks compared to nearly double that with one steering servo. http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/servo1.jpg http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/servo2.jpg http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/servo3.jpg |
fitted the new Flm drive cups and front / rear dogbones which are much thicker. Carbon brake and pads
http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/brake.jpg new header http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/header.jpg over the top http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/top.jpg http://www.rc4u.co.uk/pics/t_maxx/body_4.jpg there you go, or there i go! A month of going into 'car corner'! while my partner sits alone watching rubbish on tv - Well worth it.. I will have to try the .30 collari as the .23 isnt popping wheelies like it used to on the standard chassis. Has anyone tried a .30 in the extended chassis? |
Very nice ride! If you want wheelies, you could just drop a tooth on the clutch bell to get them back. A tight slipper (Robinson is a little inconsistent and may be slipping on you) may help as well. A .30 will put a hurtin' on the t-maxx tranny.
|
This should help with your wheeli problem..... Prolly need to get a set of OTB gears for your tranny to cope with teh extra power this baby put out...
