Hey Hippie, do you know of any suppliers of the Q-I CF?

I was assuming that he would use the BD CF because of the difference in price, but I honestly don't know how great that difference is. :whistle:

and it seems the quasi isn't offered in thicker than 1/8"?

Not sure if you guys are following Ryu James build thread with his custom chassis but he used 5mm the first time and said it was way too stiff. He was going down to 3-4mm I think he said. The place he recommended for CF was called DA graphite.

It seems that a little bit of chassis flex is desirable for jumping, so being that 5mm was a bit too much on an RC8T(no flex at all, hindered jumping ability) I'm thinking 3.5mm for a muggy should be alright,if not then at the most 4mm.

Great! Good read. I'm going to build some shock towers for my maxx in a few days. I think I'll use 3mm if I break that I'll double them up.

front and rear mounted. I think I might buy FLM upper chassis. What do you think? And this cf chassis is a little flexible, but not as much as the stock chassis. So I would like to brace the rear somehow.

Not a monster truck by any means but it's a solid runner.
