Opinions, suggestions, help
Considering setting up a way to bench test lipos. By no means will I be able to test to any exagerated ratings but it would be a consistent way of testing.
My thoughts are to make a bracket to mount to my workbench that will hold a motor aproximately 10-12" above the bench. This would most likely just be a piece of anglelike 1x2 3/16" thick. Then a few inches below the motor I would have a shelf that I could mount a MMM to and then the eagle tree v3 150A and rx just below that and be able to strap a lipo down to the bench. For a Load I found an adapter to fit an airplane prop on a 5mm shaft. I figure that a 12x12 prop should provide a decent load. Even If the load isn't huge it would be a consistent load. Maybe some help from the plane guys here to give me an idea of how much load that prop may provide. To be fair I would mostly like to test some different 2s packs. With the motor I have 1515 2.5D that would spin the prop in the neighborhood of 10,000 RPMs under load ( my estimate, no load would be just over 13k). I have no idea if that is to high of an RPM or not. If it's not I could possibly use the 1410 1y but I don't know if that would do well. I would hope to see current levels of at least 50A would like to see closer to 100A. |
