What did you hit to incure that kind of damage? Did it happen in the same incident?
|
Don't use those aluminum body posts. That's suicide to your shock towers. Just use plastic ones (something has got to break, let it be $1 easily-replacable plastic body posts)
|
I also see that you are running aluminum bumper-mounts...that is not a good idea either, as impacts to the front or rear transfer directly to the bulkheads, possibly causing more damage. I suggest using stock or any other plastic motor mount, they will absorb any impacts, and are cheap to replace if they break.
|
Aluminum body posts especially are a bad idea. My advice on the bumpers, although more expensive, is to ditch them altogether and get some titanium skid plates.

I also say ditch the bumpers |
Yea, I had a set of the RC Solutions Spring-Steel Skidplates that I sold a while back, and they were bad-ass! They were less than 1mm thick, yet as strong or stronger than GA's 3mm Titanium Skids, but much lighter than even 2mm Titanium Skids, and the same weight or lighter than pretty much all aluminum skids (at least all the ones I have had or held).

I lied, rc-solutions shkids are plentiful http://shop.rc-solutions.com/T-Maxx-...-Front-013.htm
|
I think they are kinda ugly. lol

They won't rust, they are zinc-plated...plus, spring-steel is part stainless-steel, so they wouldn't rust without the zinc-plating anyway.
I do agree that they are pretty ugly, but they are the lightest, strongest solution made for skids. I prefer 2mm titanium myself, HCR Ti skids specifically, but the RCS ones are nice for strength and durability. |
