Maybe the truggy GRP grip can do the job. They are perfect balanced stock and balloon not much, but I doubt it will be OK with your 9S 1600 Kv setup :lol::lol:

If thats was a problem at 60+ MPH with a nitro truck............i doubt they'll last more than one pass on a brushless set up.

My plan for now is just to stick with the buggy wheels, sure it looks a little weird but this way i can drive the car since most of my other cars are pretty much useless to me since the park me and my friends are currently going to has a pretty horrible potholes all over the place. The muggy really does soak up everything the street can dish out while my 8th scale buggies are unpredictable and with the speeds they are pulling any small crash is going to be pretty devastating . Until me and my friends find a better street MUGGY is my carro numero uno!

You need to try the Gorrilla Duct tape. I had a similar issue using 3m duct tape but with the Gorilla tape No problems at all. Its thicker and stickier

GRP needs to make a truggy tire just like the Rally combo for buggies, then its over and done with on tire issues.

Nitrostarter. Think outside the box. There are proper size tires on the market, Just need a little modifying to make them fit. Miamiz knows what I'm talking about. :na:

In due time, gentlemen. I'm sure Miamiz will post up an update when he gets off his arse and mounts them up. In the meantime, Here's my almost done muggy conversion:

Oh and i don't know what Miami'z was talking about with the losi tray almost lining up No way that was lining up for me without bending the crap out of the tray. I chose to mount it on the rear nitro holes (need to move the ESC inward a little bit from the pics) and simply drill/countersink a new hole up front. I also chose the Losi receiver/servo tray because i had it lying around (I stole it off one of my 8ights  )

I know how you did it, Smartass. it was still too far off on mine. Maybe the hardened chassis you have has the pipe mount a little bit closer to lining up.

JThiessen 06.21.2010 06:10 PM

It lined up for mine also - but I used a V1 tray (didn't have that dog leg on it).

Hello,
I like the heavy large tires ;) Are the diffs helical on the Losi muggy ?

DCastaneda 06.21.2010 06:25 PM

Idk, all i know is that it DID thread in but the tray was bent upwards in the middle which looked ghetto rigged. So I moved it back and drilled a new front hole.

@ Nuz, Don't think the muggy diffs are helical.

MiamizFinest 06.21.2010 06:35 PM

Got some spare used muggy diffs laying around, cracked them open to take a pic. There slightly helical.
