definately. everything CF is weaker than aluminum. it makes no difference in a basher or racer(imo) to make it a few oz lighter. if it took off 2 pounds then it might be worth it, but a few oz here and there is not important.

Looks nice arvint. what happend to your grp tires.

arvint 08.28.2010 04:08 PM

Those are in a special corner for when I go to back to 6s :P

fullspeed 08.28.2010 05:25 PM

oh yes, the magic tires, vxlrocket says they never wear out. I hope to get a set some day. Hope they come back out on spoked wheels, those look cool.

I am looking for an used 8-E 2.0 roller, got more time than $, just going to wait it out untill a low bid wins on ebay someday, could take 6 months.

it'll never happen. :na: there are guys that own tracks that have these auctions wired to their i-phones waiting for a deal. Also, getting one that isn't beat to shit is gonna be a feat in and of itself.

most of the used 8ight rollers i have come across need new chassis' and drivetrains at the very least.

these are the ones i'm considering selling:

the 1.0

the 2.0

all the parts are interchangeable. sure you wanna wait 6 months?

Is that you vxlrocket? Feels like Star Wars IV when Obi-Wan Kenobi is speaking via the Force. Also, Arvint is sorta like Luke Skywalker.

Thanks for the good info about ebay. I may have to re-think this. Thanks for email on traxxas forum. I'll get back with you.

arvint 08.29.2010 01:49 AM

^^Yup....thats rocket :P

Ebay

It has been quite a while since I have gone on to Ebay, but the best way to win anything on there is this. If you find something you truly want to win, then decide first how much you would be willing to pay for the item in question up front. Once you make that decision, then keep an eye on the auction right up to the last minute. If the auction is still within your bidding range, then begin typing in your bidding info, and when it reaches the last few seconds of the bidding war hit enter with your highest considered bid. The final outcome will show itself instantly.

A couple of years back I saw a young man place his UE collection into a LOT type of auction, and I used this theory placing a bid of $800 on it in the last few seconds of the auction. The highest bid up to that moment was $324. So any bids at the last minutes were going to be $10 here and $10 there, but my bid was to high for them to win. I ended up with about $1500 worth of UE gear for like $714. Well worth the total I was willing to bid up front, but if you show your hand too quickly you will lose your bid. You have to wait until the final seconds of the auction to win though. Good luck with that.

Now...I want to get this thing as race ready as possible..The other day I was at the track, and someone with a rc8e said why did you get that cheap thing...so we where practicing...and I felt brave and took him on..And i was actually keeping up..I could see him saying...oh wow..and stuff..although I had stock tires and i lost traction pretty easily..
Soo..I'm wondering..is the rear pivot suspension kit worth it? Does it actually make a difference?

arvint 01.16.2011 03:01 PM

Hey! Long time no post... :P

Still running great, but it's time for a new body, and just wondering,
Which proline bodies fit onto this? Does the mbx 5 fit, or the mbx6?

DwightSchrute 01.21.2011 11:07 PM

i think all of the ultra buggy bodies fit but i'm not sure about the mbx lids. check the thread on the ultra lx-1 on rc-tech...they started a list there if memory serves me correctly.
