Glad that you are being taken care of and hope that you don't get the same issue with the new MMP. If you do I suggest you re examine everything at the first sign of cogging as suspect that it is not the ESC.

It may be worthwhile trying to run it without the sensor cable in case the hall sensores were providing a bad signal to the ESC.

JoFreak 08.20.2010 12:55 PM

@Bondo: See, I wouldn't get a new ESC for 43$ since I allready payed 146$ for a new, not working ESC. So this would add to a total of 189$ for one mmp.
And I'm not complaining, I just said I won't start celebrating before everything worked out.
But that's been the problem here all along, I say something and something different is insinuated. Or some things I said or not said are just inconvinient, so it's ignored that I (haven't) said them.
Like: why is evereyone repeating that Castle's service is so great and Patrick is awesome too?
I know that. I never doubted that. I never said otherwise.
Only thing I said was that the MMP crapped out on me and that I'm going to wait and see what Castle will do.

@Texas: So it's my attitude now? I just started a thread to contact Castle, because I have no other option to do so, honestly stated the tide of events, and stated that I was pissed because this ruined the few chances I have for driving my RC car.
Then I get attacked, that everything is my fault and what not. But it's my attitude, yeah, right...
Maybe by now it is my attitude, I'm getting more and more angry with everey reply that implies somthing I haven't done or said. But it would have been so easy to resolve this.
And again with the "it is common sense": off course I am an idiot and did everything wrong that is possible to be done wrong. I wonder how I survived that long, and that in a country where you can't sue someone because he didn't state "caution hot" on a coffee cup. Must have been reeeeeally lucky, because I'm virtually too stupid to breathe.
And what's that with "You asked people with experience and you got experienced answers."? Did I? I think I stated very clearly in my first post, that started this thread, that I do not!
This just proves my point about people not reading what I say, but answering something anyways.

@Arctik: You bet I will! I wouldn't want to have to start another thread here to get treated as nicely as this time.
And you might as well close or delete this thread here, I got my contact with Castle, everything I wanted to to with it, and am sick off how this is turning.

No worries dude -- we got your back. :yipi:

I understand your frustration, and we are doing everything we can to get you square.

Thanx!

Patrick

Hey Patrick, got your PM, thank's a lot!
I hope you didn't get this mess here the wrong way, I never doubted that you would take care of me.
The recent ramblings were only due to other users "comments", had absolutely nothing to do with you or your company.

Don't forget to let us know if the new controller is working for you. Or if you solved the problem otherwise.

Patrick is willing to send you another ESC overseas on his dime without even asking for proof of purchase. So it'll cost $43.00 to ship your ESC back, sounds like a awesome deal for a brand new Controller. I see absolutely nothing to complain about ?

i agree with bondo........................................... it really hirts saying that............... i ... agree.... with.... ah the pain :diablo:

anyway, castle has alot of supporters on rcm because they have earned them, no one supports this hobby like castle. my advise is call them, they are allways are more than happy to help troble shoot or set up repairs and replacements

TexasSP 08.20.2010 05:46 PM

Well then, good luck with the new one.

Sheesh, that hurt huh ? Good.:na:

suicideneil 08.20.2010 06:55 PM

If shipping and servicing turn around times are an issue, why not use a european esc, like a schulze, hacker or MGM?

JoFreak 08.21.2010 12:58 AM

@Neil: I think you know why. They're just old plane/boat ESCs with a "car" sticker on them.
If Schulze would develop an up to date car specific ESC I could get weak, but since that's never going to happen...
But funny you should mention them, I have managed to fiddle a certain ESC/motor combo, you may remember from the beginning of my g-maxx, into the Slash 4x4. Needed a bit of dremeling but now it fits. Maybe I'll take it out tomorrow and just look what happenes when I pull the trigger. But this is definately the wrong forum to talk about it.

Without starting another argument, I'm curious as to why you would say that? So long as it isn't n***o it's all good! :mdr:

JoFreak 08.21.2010 08:19 AM

Nah, I meant this is the wrong section (castle section) of the rc-monster forum.

What's_nitro? 08.21.2010 11:45 AM

Ahh Ok.
