ended up not getting the hyper 10TT and picked up a used CRT .5 for pretty cheap. Of course converting it to brushless.
Just thought I'd updated on what I was doing as I had said I was getting one earlier. |
Im just a basher so i cant tell ya if its fast on a track or any thing. but from bashing it, it flys nice, real easy to control, its balanced just the way i like it witch is slighty toward the rear, my left right is near to spot on. I found that the shock fluid is a bit light for 3s and a 36-50+ motor. So far its a bad ass truck:-D

@ Stampy, Very Nice !
While doing research I've read a lot of guys said the front pillow ball carriers tend to be a little weak, My nice "slightly" used roller showed up with one carrier cracked through. |
Could one convert an STe with a new chassis and F/R dog bones?

I ended up finally getting the 17m adapters for the 10TT.
Dont' regret it. I also upgraded to rear CVDs at the same time too. Stuck some GRP Grandini's on it, loaded it with 4S and sent it out for some speed runs. No radar gun or GPS though. I really need to buy one. I'd say its probably around the 55mph mark, or close to it. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8436/7...7dac11e4_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8444/7...1b46c70e_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8435/7...4d9a9733_b.jpg |

Some tracks do NOT allow 1/8th scales for various reasons, in fact most tracks by specifically disallow 1/8th buggies and truggies. They are too heavy and their insurance will not allow vehicles over a certain weight. This is the reason I got a 10TT and am going to mod it to look like an 8th scale buggy. The longer wheelbase will make it handle closer to the 1/8th buggies I like, but it will still be under the limit. I didn't by a Losi 810 because I didn't want to go through an electric conversion on it. My next 8th scale buggy will likely be a Nexx8, its cheap, parts compatible with my truggy, and I know it'll be supported for a very long time. |
