I would look at the Stampede 4x4... It has more ground clearance and better tires for bashing.. I have slash and a scrt which are comparable to what you are looking at and for all out bashing every where I think the stampede would be more fun.. still has the monster truck look like a flux just smaller..

Maby for you it is but if you've seen what i've put this truck through i bet you would have a different opinion...

from reading your threads around the forum i doubt you would have the balls to put your flux through what i've put my slash 4x4 through....and i'm not talking about water and snow, i'm talking about an all out beating

I think he has his mind set on the slash no matter what we say, so this thread is pretty much pointless.

you DO realize that the stampede 4x4 chassis is based off of the slash chassis right? if you don't like the chassis on the stampede, it will be nearly identical on the slash.

personally, i think maybe a crt.5 with a castle sct combo that has been waterproofed would be your best bet. it would be cheaper as well.

but if you want something that is already thrown together and RTR, then i would recommend the stampede 4x4. the slash is good, but for snow, you will have more ground clearance and grip with the larger tires on the pede.

You could also buy a flux roller, get the twin motor mount from KD, and run a twin VXL setup, balloon up the reciever and servo, and have care-free fun!

I agree here, powerfull and water proof, no worrys ?

I have 2 4wd Slashes and absolutelt love them but I dont see you being happy with a themFreezy ?.
Your expectations are very high and like mentioned prior, the Slashes really shine best on a track IMO.

on smooth ground

Hopefully you decided against a SC truck, I dont think it will really be what you want after 5 minutes of driving it. But hey I could be wrong.......

thzero 12.29.2010 11:26 AM

For those of you complaining about "small tires" why not just get the various 17mm hex adapters and slap on some small truggy tires on the Slash 4x4 (or equivalent); buggy tires would be sorta pointless since SC and buggy tires are almost identical in size.
