I just got one and I love it. I tried to convince Freezie to get one in the thread "just for freeze", but he bought an xbox instead... It's great for a neighborhood basher. Simple and fast.

It's nice to have a 4wd MT that you can run 1 x 2s or 3s battery.

I would look into getting new wheel combo. If you stick with 2.2, you have to use the rpm revolver wide crawler offsets. Or you can use any 2.8 series wheel combos. Me, I prefer masher 2k on 2.2 for the 1/10 scale MT look. Lower the body by chopping down the body posts too.

Set up is the same as my slash 4x4 in my signature.I also lowered the body a bit.

I want one. Just looking on ebay they are slightly less than 400 shipped. Or I can buy a roller and set it up with the castle sc 2400 mmp system and run 5-6s lipo... That would cost me about 430-450...

So what do you guys think? I do not mind getting the complete truck, as it seems to be a better deal than buying a roller. But will I hate the vxl setup? I would run 3s lipo and leave stock gearing for 45mph or so. I just bash, but this looks like alot of fun, and I always had a soft spot for the old 2wd pedes.

if you want it and can aford it get one, thats the way i do it

i think its a pretty cool truck, i may get the parts i need to make the slash 4x4 into a pede just to see what i think of it too

Interesting, so the 2500mah 40c rhino lipos do fine with the 1400 motor? I had planned to run a flightmax 6s 40c 3000mah pack if I went wth the MMpro/2400kv 1415 combo.

why would you want to run a 1400kv motor with such a small light truck?

Why not, i'm playing with a 1200kv lehner xl basic in my T4 on 4s lipo. It's about efficiency, cooler running and runtime.

Ehh, I would rather use the Slash chassis and have a MMM secured in place, than add some larger tires. That with the Jconcepts Rapter lid would more or less the exact same thing. Unless this guy is more fun simply because of the shorter chassis? Even then I would still think the Slash chassis with the pede bumper and wheely bar would be almost the same if not better.

The 2550's work great, I ran this set up all summer long in my slash no heat problems (I gear in the low 40's). I think the 2400kv set up would be great for a 4s set up.The problem with the the truck is gearing ,with 6s 2400kv you could only slow it down to around 52 mph or so(11/54).
