here's a pic of the fan and the centre diff with monster motor mount. and if you see a bolt missing its because it was stripped when i bought it and i need to cut it with a dremal to fit a flathead screwdriver in it.

hyper-5 yeah u reached 99km/h because you are using some 3550kv motor thats 1/10. and it is 1/10 because you cant get that higher kv in 1/8. also im not being mean or anything can u just start your own thread if you want to talk about your car. thanks

To be honest that is a nice looking can.

Did you get a RCM battery tray. How are you going to secure the batteries?

thanks,
i just have aluminium angle and two battery straps to hold it on! hang on i got a picture.

Cool thanks, the reason I ask is I have a complete spare Raze, or it could be a Ofna, I don't know, I got it for cheap, and I am building it up and looking for reasonable ways to get it converted. At 45 a pop for a battery tray and motor mount I am thinking I might try to make my own...

I like your idea using the angled aluminum I might have to head to the hardware store and see if I can do something similar.

bundyracer1 02.15.2011 06:00 PM

yeah ok well the rc monster motor mounts are probably the only thing you need cause motor mounts are hard to make! the battery trays are easy but the motor is the main part that needs to be meshed properly and held on strong. if i was you i would invest in a decent motor mount, but have a try at making your own first and if it doesnt work buy one.

I just bought a hyper 7 pbs used on ebay for $100 shipped! Let me know how yours performs!

bundyracer1 02.17.2011 06:00 PM

oh ok thats pretty cheap, post up some pics when you get it. thanks

reno911 02.17.2011 06:21 PM

I wonder if the PBS system will fit the Raze...

Anyways I went to the hardware store and looked at some angled pieces nothing too fancy butI may be making something similar.

What gearing are you running?

bundyracer1 02.17.2011 06:29 PM

the centre spur is 46t and im going to be using a 15t pinion

reno911 02.17.2011 07:03 PM

Right on pretty similar here 14 t for me.

With the 2200 on 4s 6000mah I get almost a whole 30 minutes of ashing, about 15-20 for racing.
