My EMBX5-T far and away the best r/c i've owned and the most fun, easiest to work on IMO
|
Haven't owned as many RC's as most, but I would keep my Caster F8T truggy. It was my first experience with a 1/8 3-diff platform and the first time I drove it I couldn't stop smiling! Also, like magman said very easy to work on.

Factory Team Rc8be ... most fun on the track... sc8e was a close second
|
My Mugen MBX5T that had the custom conversion I made with dual battery packs. I miss that truck, I'll be making a 6T version sometime in the future.

As much as I hate Traxxas I always go back to the E-Maxx. I like the durability of my Flux and my RC8T but I like the way a E-Maxx looks and handles. However I will always have a RC18T, even if I was to get out of the hobby and sell everything I would keep that.

I can see the appeal that the Rail has. I have been using it a lot more lately than any of my other cars. I have even upgraded the front end with parts from XTM XT2e buggy, fitted CC 1515 motor, LED setup, got a stainless steel roll cage on the way for it too and a few other things. It really is a fun and easy car to work on.
Still I don't think I could let go of any of my other cars. I love the toughness of my RC8T FT and RC8Be. Also I don't think I could let go of my E-Revos anytime soon........ Actaully I don't have a clue why I posted here. I don't think I could let go of any of my cars, not to even mention cutting down to only one. |
Letting go of r/c toys?
I am sure that we can all relate to that feeling, but when life changing events happen one has to make choices that he would not normally be faced with. In the end its just stuff, right. We can not take it with us, and leaving to anyone in most families seem a bit of a stretch. Our kids would be fighting over my R/C collection and that is the last thing any of us wants. I already told the wife if anything happens to me and she has to make that decision to let go of any of my stuff to list all of my R/C toys in here for sale out of respect for all of guys I have become friends with. Yea even James and Harold make that list.
I understand Gee's position perfectly. He has had a life changing event and decided to cut back on R/C for the sake of those changes. Could happen to any of us. |
I'd keep my 5b for sure. After you put some modest upgrades on it,it's amazingly tough. And the size of it is not only easy to work on but it also can run on rougher ground than any 1/8 scales I had. And the ease of running gas and maintaining it is just too easy even compared to BL. Now if someone will make an FG style steering setup to get rid of the slop and give me a tighter turnig radius it'll be perfect!

I ended up keeping my buggy and truggy, I tried to just stick with one, but if I had to let one go it would probably be my buggy.
|
I let most go as well. I ended up keeping my XT8 and Crt.5.

It would be a toss up between my XXL and a Truggy
|
Pretty much close to that point myself, have a self-imposed limit of 3 with things as they are. If I had to cut to one it'd be the SC8e no question. Best basher I have had, has the brute force of the Savage Flux but actually handles well also. If I had to cull one now, it'd most likely be the EDF Hoverjet but I doubt it'd fetch enough to make a sale worthwhile. It's fun, interesting concept but noisy as all hell and needs a big open space.
|
I would probably keep my SCX10. Not fast, but setup to run submerged and manages to get around on all types of terrain. It's a blast because there is some challenge to it being solid axle and all. The scale appearance helps too.

I'd keep my Brushless mini revo, its waterproof fast and doesn't break much :D
