nice, do you have any info regarding gearing and runtime?
And do you find the deans sufficant to power it?

again great truck you have there, bet you have invested some time and money to put it together:smile:

Gearing is 14/52, with the moabs it is geared for 50mph. I run a 5s 30c 8000mah zippy. Bashing hard it runs 40 minutes.

Deans soldered properly are the only connectors I use, I swear by them. I run them on my e5b.

The only problem I have, even with locker lube in the diff, is that the center diff gets too hot and the lube thins and runs out of the screw holes.

Sorry for intruding, i like that truck!
It's got quite a motor too.

Hard to tell from the pics; but if you moved the speedo to the rear and ditched the servo plate (and mount the steering servo in the back) would that give you enough space to put the batteries in the front, for balance sake?

It's been good to see you posting again serum!

The batteries do mount in front, I strap them to the servo plate. They fit between the esc and bulkhead. It's very balanced.

Yeah, i've seen your April fools prank, you got me good..

I could see a PM coming with the request to put an UN in front of your username..

I see you're running ofna shocks; i've designed some low profile truggy towers for the savage, perhaps i could get Mike the drawing so he could machine them. I didn't liked the height of the stock-based towers, they got the body on too high IMO. My plan was to make some body posts that hold the body from the side (they mount on the sides of the TVP's)

I'm currently re-organizing my RC collection, selling most of the stuff i didn't used in the past time, but i'm keeping the savage. That's what got me into the rc scene, and i liked the truck a lot. (although wrenching on it, could be a PITA, it's not a marvel of engineering in that area)

no wonder why the center diff gets hot :mdr:

Great truck, I have pretty much the identical setup but have not done the electric conversion yet. Do you know of mike still makes the universal centre diff?

Arct1k 08.17.2013 07:18 AM
