So this ends the "factory" section of the build! What do you guys think?
|
Lookin really good. I keep peeking into this thread and everytime I go over to the tamiya website and look at those kits... I'd really like to do one, but I don't think the gf would much like me having another rc around!
|
It's tempting isn't it? They have the 801x buggies on there too. If they're still there in a month I'm snagging one somehow. Thanks for the compliments, the build quality on this truggy is amazing and sometimes I just stare at all the blue anodizing. It's truly a beautiful truck! I keep telling my girlfriend I'm going to buy one of the 801x buggies and she gives me "the look". It's the same look she gives me when I bring home more jeep parts.

great work :D

When it comes to bling bling, Tamiya's the real thing!
|
Thanks guys! Tamiya makes some high quality kits for sure. This might turn into a 1/5 scale build, keep your eyes peeled.

hmmmmmmm. I like it a lot. This is not looking good for my wallet! (at least its on sale)
Let me know how it holds up to a beating. :) Do you still have the link to the website to buy it on sale? |
Thanks! Yeah it's a killer deal. I almost bought one of the 801x buggies but wanted to finish this first. Now they're out of stock again! The 801xt truggies are still available for 229.99 but I'd hurry, I'm not sure how many they still got. Order the updated shock mounts while you're there, it's like $10 more and worth it.
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/cat...p?sub-id=79000 I'll let you guys know how it holds up! |
