It's just a way to gather all the topics/threads from a specific forum site into 1 forum. IE; if you want to hop up your Savage with FLM items and want to convert it to brushless, but you want to know which motor mount to use & which FLM chassis to buy, you could post in either: FLM, HPI Savage, Brushless, Project X, etc, and depending on the person posting, in could be in any one of them. What I suggested was just an idea to "merge" the forums you find interesting, to make sure you get to read everything related, which you might forget from time to time. I just open all the forums I find interesting here on RC-monster, which is Brushless & most everything related. I don't check Nitro and the likes. It would be nice to merge the ones I do find interesting, but certainly not necessary. Anyways, as for Forum condensing; I think Unlimited Engineering, Fastlane Machine & Tekno should be joined together for a "Hop Ups & Conversions" (Example) thread, or a "Hop Ups" AND "Conversions" thread. Team Tekin, Novak & Medusa (Brushless motor/ESC manufacturers.) should be joined into 1 forum as well. Castle Creations is one of these as well, but it is so popular that it needs to be a seperate forum. It could be part of the Brushless motor/ESC manufacturers thread though.. And I agree, it would be nice with a Monster Truck forum to merge the T/E Maxx, Gorillamaxx HPI Savage & Revo forums, as long as it is dedicated to the Electric kind of monster trucks. I realise T/E Maxx implies a thread dedicated to T-maxx as well, but people here rarely speak of Nitro related stuff so the General Nitro forum would be the place to post anything related to the T-maxx. The Jato thread should just be removed IMO, as anything related to Jato brushless would most likely be posted in Brushless. Or you could make a "Traxxas (Offroad) R/C" forum, instead of the T/E Maxx, Gorillamaxx, Revo and Jato forums. IMO. This site works well as it is, so it's not really necessary to change anything. |
Here was my suggestion regarding a RCM Large-scale conversion forum from almost a year ago (based on the marketing of RCM products) -
