At last some one whos twice as crazy as me!!!!Quote>you can build the power in your mind but in
actuality when its time for speed runs dogbones, drivecups, pinnion gears, bevelgears and tire
launches no toy will hold the power you have built my fellow rc jedi master what yoi should have done first is alluminum t6 billet your whole set up then extend the chassis and that should be billet lipo 7s8s9s all are going to make you say what have I built.you can build it will it run?

Think I vaguely understood that, is English not your first language or did you just type it in a hurry?

A custom chassis definitely would be the better thing to do, and I have been thinking of it. Certainly gives more room for everything, just limits me with shells.

Good luck with your setup. My official isc 2009 open wheel record 81.75 mph
with (g)e-maxx has been beaten by a buggy. I can tell you one thing all that power isnt really needed your probably better off with smaller motor spinning higher rpm. I was running a 2700kv neu motor on 6s gear for >120mph and had way too much power. I was breaking the foam tires loose around 75mph going through traps drifting sideways. Probably would of went faster on 5s. Hopfully those grp tires do better. Nic cas had a fairly stock schumaker with a special body on 3s with a castle mmm and high kv motor do ~ 130mph. Btw just got back on here becuse I wanted to convert a hyper7 I have into brushless for my son. Checking out you thread

Emaxx vs Buggy are not even close to equal. The maxx is probably the worst platform for high speed runs. Always breaking traction.... I would know I have both.

I think the buggy will handle the power and turn it into speed as the maxx just cant hang with too much power Always spinning out, just not made for that type of running... I had the 1717 in my maxx just too much. But 1520 in my buggy handles the power AWESOME> My $.02:smile:

Sure your correct but I assure you my emaxx was far from stock. I had more power than anyone at that meet including nic case. It not about power its about getting it to the ground. Too much and your just spinning your tires. How fast have you gone?

Funny you should say that, a large update was coming within the next few days hopefully.
I was low on cash for quite a while so progress stopped, however now I have ordered all the electronics and bought a speed gun so I'm just waiting for that lot to arrive and then I can get testing!

Had to get new batteries as the ripple voltages being caused by the ones I have were too high, on a proper speed run it would blow the ESC.
Also bought a Castle Cap Pack to help with the ripple :)

I also had a nice realisation that I DON'T need to shorten the drive shafts after.
Can just slide the motor and diff mount over them, so I can tighten the grub screws before hand.

Pics coming soon
