castle-link or the field program card to a usb will get you hooked up.

I'm not 100%, but I think you' gotta link up through the ESC lead like any other castle setup.

Meaning you either need the field card, or the lil USB driver.

But in theory we should be able to see all the settings on the iphone/TQi, that just hasn't happened yet....

Someone said his older version of the MMM (may of) gained the option to set the BEC output voltage. It's mostly for the XO-1 esc to castle link up.(Traxxas-link?)

Quick question for the firmware updates on the ice controllers(or maybe even mamba controllers). Have you guys every considered programming in a dual stage Cutoff? This could be a life saver for the airplane guys. If could could program in 3.5V for the intial cutoff and then 3.0 for a second cutoff, this could let us know the battery is low and give us enough power to bring our planes back for a landing which could help to keep them in one piece. Could work for the trucks too to give them enough power to bring them back to the person controlling them. I dont think anyone has anything like this and I think it would be a great selling tool.

@ Bruce
my MMM does have an ajustable BEC now
But i would think it is an MMM V5 since I just bought the MMM

I have some more MMM's and will check if the new Firmware does the same magic.

I love the Idea of the dual stage cuttoff !!!
This would be a gamechanger for our 12 hour SC Truck race.
Having a notifier wenn the batterie gets empty will be a major help to win the race

12 hour race??? Sounds crazy enough to be a lot of fun.

So I'm still grumpy over this issue. Castle updated their link, so at least now I can program the XO.... however all the talk about Link Live got me really excited, and its still just a dream.

We know it exists... but we can't use it...

Is it possible to view saved Logged data without connecting the ESC? I saved my logged data from my 160HV but can't view it without connecting my ESC. Is it me or isn't this option supported?

ducati777 03.01.2012 06:09 PM

I don't think so.

Where would you view it if you weren't connected to something with a screen?

Byte 03.01.2012 06:17 PM

I think you misunderstood me. I saved an old datalog from my ESC on my pc. But if I want to view this one, it can only be done by connecting the ESC.

With Eagletree you didn't need to connect the ESC, I could view my saved logs whenever I wanted.

ducati777 03.01.2012 06:20 PM

Oh, well.... I don't have a data logging ESC, I've only gathered information from reading forums... but I think what I'm about to say is accurate.

Have you tried opening the CastleLink Graph Viewer? Under the file menu it says "load data", which brings up a file explorer... I think if you direct it to open your saved log you should see the graph.

I apologize in advance if thats not accurate.

Byte 03.02.2012 07:20 PM

Hey! You're right! :) Hmm, strange... I was searching for something like this before but couldn't find it. But that was on my Vista laptop, maybe that's the problem? On Windows 7 I find it directly.

Anyway: thank you! I knew Castle thought about that, it would be stupid to connect the ESC everytime to view an saved datalog. My fault, sorry!

Pdelcast 03.04.2012 04:48 PM

Hey guys --

For the MMM adjustable BEC -- the hardware for adjustable BEC has been in the V5 hardware from the beginning, but we just now added the capability to change the program settings in the Castle Link app.

V4 and earlier hardware doesn't have the ability to change the BEC voltage, and will not show as an option.

Thanx!

Patrick
