FYI - the mount is only one hole away from accepting mechanical brakes(the hole for the actuator) - with tall gearing like yours, there won't likely be any interference with the motor, either. :)
The open motor will be susceptible to collecting brake dust(aluminum dust basically). :)

Going to mod a outerwares for it.was looking at the braking on it and maybe put a 1/8 servo after a mod, really big oz servo.

Will look more in to it once I have it running

Now we're talking! Can't wait to see this thing moving around.. In fact, I'd like to pit it against one of these....

i had a redcat XB-e with custom motor mount and castle 1717 motor. yes it was fast. yes it broke some. it was much lighter and smaller than the losi so not a fair comparrason.

I don't see that outerwears. I wouldn't run that motor at all without covering all the holes. Gunk will get in and destroy it. Even just electric tape to close the holes off. You don't need to worry about cooling, in an open environment like a truck it will be just fine. Neus are originally airplane motors, designed to be in a closed fuselage, that's why they have holes. Cover those holes!

(The ones in the vids are running CC 2028/XL2's with upgraded alum mount, braces and knuckles)

Smaller? Yeah sure.. but worth a comparison on a 1/5 scale track.
