An older version of the Castle Link that is unencrypted wouldn't help. Old versions (over ~1 year ago) of Castle Link won't have the ET-3S because the ESC was released afterwards. Old versions of Castle Link don't support newer ESCs. So even if you had the unencrypted versions of the Link they won't recognize the ET-3S. I can't think of anyway to remove the over-voltage protection without direct access to the code. And of course if I did I wouldn't post it to a public forum...cause ya know, I like my job. :)

I was hoping over voltage t just turned off the BEC, but it completely shuts down the esc.

Don't make me start transplanting ICs. I have a few fried normal MMPs that would make good doners.. :diablo:

Assuming I would be able to obtain the SQLite encryption key, does somebody here have the knowledge to edit the unencrypted database in a proper way so that we can flash 'genuine' Castle firmware to Traxxas and HPI versions of the Castle ESCs?
