Hi,

yes the D8T is fast. I have no problems against TeamC, Mugen, AE and Losi at my home track. Only the E-Buggys and some of the very good Nitro Buggys are faster then me.
I made some changes in the front. I got a D815 Saver for 20$. Nice and usefull update.

What's better about that steering?

KMN 01.19.2016 01:18 PM

I also ended up using two Traxxas rod ends for the steering, I didn't like the slop in the balls. The Traxxas ends alleviated this slop.

Hi,

@Lizard The D815 steering has tow new Aluminium Parts. The new orange Nut had a small screw to look it. I like it because I didn't use loctied at my Servosavers.
The other new Part is black and under the Spring. It helps to make the steering stiffer and the saver feels a bit better. Better Reaction on hard impacts too.

@KMN yes you are rigth. Thier is a littel but slop in the balls. Nice Tipp maybe I will change them.

Ahh, thanks, that sounds a lot better indeed.

I have the D8T Tessmann steering and the adjustment nut is very hard to adjust. It's very thin and hard to grab, and the o-ring (that should act as threadlock I guess?) makes it really hard to turn.

Mr E-Maxx 01.20.2016 06:06 PM

Hi,

in some other 1/8 Scale Cars you had no O-Ring at this position. Only threadlock. But if want to clean the saver it es very hard to get the nut off. The problem of the O-Ring solution is that it comes lose when you drive. If you didn't notice that the black nut can look your steering. This is very bad. So If you use the D8T or D812 Saver be sure to check it before every run.

That doesn't sound good, I guess I will get the D815 saver then.
