Thanks! Yea, I was actually gonna buy his because I figured the one I bought would go to high....But it didn't fortunately. I honestly think mine was a better buy than the other since the other doesn't have aluminum arms, CF chassis, 2 sets of tires, wing, and 7075 aluminum knuckles (the 7075 ones are 10x more. No joke. 5 bucks vs. 50)

Nice Squee, i'll trade my sprong for your chassis!
|
Haha...Maybe for the wheel nuts :p...

Anybody know were a good place to start would be for the diffs? I only have 50k and 7k right now. I need to get some more...

Nice lookin' truggy Squee... I was gonna buy a ofna 9.5 and make a truggy out of it..... but the vehicle you got is way cooler... How much you pay for that bad boy?. I gotta hunt for one too..

540 w/shipping. There is one for sale on RCZ. Jeremy, the co-owner of BPP is selling his. I was gonna buy his because I thought the one I got was gonna go to high. Thank God it didn't. I kinda perfer the CF over the aluminum.

The Bomb Proof guys showed up at the madness event this year. We hung out a bit - they are cool guys and the trucks are pretty sweet. The only issue with the HB lightning stadium trucks is that the steering isn't all that great - the bomb proof guys had the same issue(well, they were severely overpowered as well - in true bomb-proof form!). I will say that the bomb proof "lightning" truck is one hell of a sweet truck, though. I would still take my emaxx, but it also cost a lot more! For the money, I doubt you will find a better truck, Squee - even for more money, it will be hard to beat it!

Thanks Mike! I don't think I will have a problem with turning :D. Besides, I loved how my nitro LSP turned.

I like the heavy center fluid to keep the front end from unloading under the huge bl torque. |
I did manage to tune the lsp for decent steering, but it required pretty strong rear brake bias on a tight track - which is not an option on your truck without a little work(easy enough to do I suppose). I loved the lsp handling otherwise. In contrast, my G2R turns at least 2x as good as my lsp ever did(too much steering almost, which is my preference).
If the front sway bars are still on the truck, take them off. Then, raise the ride height to arms slightly above level(to increase body roll) and run the front a little soft - you can get it turning pretty decent with some setup. |
Thanks Mike. My local track is pretty big and the race I'm gonna try and get ready for is at a HUGE racetrack. You can check out the track at http://www.futabanitrochallenge.com/ or on page 191 of RCCA October '06 (newest issue).

dang that track is huge....

I'm running stock Jammin and Kyosho diffs.... 6 gear.
I'm running 5/10/1 in my buggy, but I haven't changed the truggy since I got it. I thought he said the center was 10, but I think it's heavier than that. One of the top Jammin drivers is running 7/15/1 and 7/20/3 in his CRT and I think my CRT was setup like his, so it's probably in that range. I will find out what's in it for sure... |
Thanks Doc.

Got the truck in today. Should see how it performs in the next day or so...
